This role involves producing animations using keyframe and motion capture data, integrating them into the engine, and developing systems that connect animations to gameplay mechanics. It supports workflows related to animation pipelines, game engines, and motion capture processes. The role consistently collaborates with design, programming, tech art, and production teams to maintain animation quality, meet technical constraints, and achieve a seamless blend of animation fidelity and gameplay responsiveness.

  • Proficiency in a major animation package (e.g. Maya, MotionBuilder, etc.)
  • Experienced in working with state machines and blend trees; Unity, Unreal Engine, or equivalent.
  • Strong skills in animating the human figure to create realistic character animations
  • Good general technical knowledge of gameplay processes and pipelines
  • Some understanding of development issues in getting animations into a game
  • Experience with both key-frame and motion capture animation
