Lead — Animation
A Lead in the Animation discipline owns the animation vision, quality bar and delivery for a project's animation team, including gameplay and technical animation. The role pairs strong hands-on animation craft with leadership: establishing benchmarks and style in collaboration with the Art Director, mentoring and managing animators, planning and prioritising the team's tasks with production, and driving improvements to animation tools, pipelines and workflows. A Lead ensures animation meets both creative quality and technical and performance requirements.
- Professional animation experience across keyframe and/or motion-capture, with strong animation fundamentals
- Proficiency in industry animation packages and engines (commonly Maya, MotionBuilder, 3ds Max; Unreal/Unity)
- Ability to establish and maintain animation benchmarks, quality standards and style in collaboration with art direction
- Experience leading, mentoring and managing an animation team
- Understanding of animation export/implementation pipelines and technical/performance requirements
