Senior Gameplay Animator

Gameplay animation focuses on creating and implementing character animations that directly support interactive gameplay, ensuring they are responsive, visually engaging, and technically aligned with game design requirements. This role involves producing animations using keyframe and motion capture data, integrating them into the engine, and developing systems that connect animations to gameplay mechanics. It supports workflows related to animation pipelines, game engines, and motion capture processes. The role consistently collaborates with design, programming, tech art, and production teams to maintain animation quality, meet technical constraints, and achieve a seamless blend of animation fidelity and gameplay responsiveness.

  • Highly Proficient in industry-standard animation tools, such as Maya and Motion Builder
  • Solid working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4 or 5 in a professional setting
  • Ability to create fluid, smooth, realistic animations with specific demonstration of animation fundamentals
  • Excellent gameplay animation skills with a deep understanding of player feedback and combat dynamics
  • Ability to breakdown complex behaviours and gameplay concepts and work collaboratively with designers
  • Experience with version control systems (Perforce, Subversion, Git, etc.)
  • Understanding of modelling, skinning, and rigging
  • Basic knowledge of Cascadour, ragdoll mechanics
