This function supports and maintains workflows and pipelines related to asset creation, optimization, and implementation, with attention to real-time rendering constraints. It operates collaboratively with art, design, programming, and production teams to ensure that visual effects align with the game's artistic direction and functional requirements, and are efficiently integrated into the overall development process.

  • Proficient in using real-time particle editors such as Unreal Engine’s Niagara VFX system
  • Proficient in industry-standard VFX tools and software such as Maya, Houdini, or similar
  • Good Photoshop skills for creating texture effects
  • Experience with fluid simulation tools (e.g. FumeFX)
  • Technical skills in shader creation and/or procedural content creation tools
  • Strong understanding of VFX principles including timing, motion, and visual aesthetics
  • Ability to create original texture sprites and sprite sheets to create particle effects
