midweight Technical Artist

Technical Artists support the game development process by creating and maintaining tools, scripts, and pipelines that optimise and streamline art production workflows. They serve as a bridge between art and programming, ensuring that assets meet technical requirements while integrating efficiently into the production pipeline. Their work involves developing tools within various DCC applications, optimising assets for performance across platforms, and resolving technical issues related to rendering and asset implementation. They contribute to the creation and upkeep of metadata systems, support automation for asset processing, and facilitate efficient collaboration across departments. Common collaborators include art, animation, and engineering teams, with frequent coordination to ensure smooth integration and functional workflows throughout the asset pipeline.
