Their work typically includes designing and implementing sound effects and interactive audio elements, developing and maintaining audio tools, scripts, and pipelines, integrating audio assets into game engines, troubleshooting and debugging audio systems and tools, and supporting performance and memory requirements across platforms. This role commonly collaborates with sound designers and audio programmers while also working closely with programmers, game designers, artists, and other developers to ensure audio systems align with gameplay requirements and technical constraints.
