midweight UI Programmer

UI Programming plays a critical role in the game development process by building, maintaining, and refining user interface systems that support player interaction and gameplay features. This function focuses on implementing UI functionality, improving shared UI libraries, and ensuring code is performant, maintainable, and well-integrated with broader systems. It supports workflows such as UI design, feature implementation, and debugging, contributing to a consistent and responsive player experience. UI Programmers regularly work within established pipelines and collaborate closely with designers, artists, and other engineers to align on interface behavior, aesthetic goals, and technical requirements.

  • Strong C++ and low-level, high-performance coding
  • Experience profiling and optimising code
  • Comfortable with a wide range of code design patterns including Object Orientated Programming.
  • Experience with C# and tools programming
  • A concrete understanding of UI/UX design principles
  • Experience with XML, XAML, Json and other common file formats
  • Strong algorithm and data structure skills (including time and space complexity and real-world vs theoretical performance of basic data structures)
