midweight Game Designer

Game Designers are responsible for developing and refining core game mechanics, systems, and features that shape the player experience, balancing gameplay elements such as pacing, difficulty, and in-game economies to enhance engagement and retention. They create prototypes whether paper-based, physical, or in-engine, to test and iterate on gameplay ideas, adapting designs to technical and production constraints as necessary. Their work supports critical development workflows, including feature integration, content implementation, and post-launch iteration. Game Designers collaborate closely with artists, programmers, producers, QA teams, Narrative Designers, and Animators to ensure cohesive, high-quality experiences, maintaining consistent gameplay languages and documentation that guide interdisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle. They also support playtesting efforts, research industry trends, and contribute creatively to feature ideation and improvement.
