Lead — Design
A Lead in the Design discipline owns the design vision, quality and delivery for a design team (for example game, level, gameplay, quest, technical or UI/UX design). The role pairs hands-on design craft, leading by example, with leadership: defining design standards and documentation, mentoring and managing designers across experience levels, aligning design goals with creative and production partners, estimating and scheduling work, and validating quality through playtesting and user research.
- Senior hands-on design experience with a strong portfolio in the relevant design domain
- Ability to define and uphold best practices, quality guidelines and design documentation/specifications
- Proficiency with engines/tools used by the team (commonly Unreal/Unity; scripting such as Lua/Blueprint; Confluence/Figma)
- Experience leading, mentoring and managing designers across experience levels
- Ability to provide estimates and schedules and to align design goals with other disciplines
