Principal Narrative Designer

Narrative Design plays a central role in shaping the storytelling experience within a game by developing narrative systems, structuring story arcs, and writing dialogue and in-game text that aligns with gameplay mechanics and design constraints. The role focuses on integrating story with game design to create immersive, character-driven content while maintaining consistency in tone, worldbuilding, and character development. It supports pipelines related to mission content, live updates, and in-game events through the use of narrative tools and engines, ensuring narrative elements are implemented and iterated effectively. Narrative Designers work closely with game designers, writers, artists, animators, UX designers, programmers, producers, and localisation teams to align storytelling with broader gameplay and production goals, adapting narrative content in response to feedback, testing, and evolving technical requirements.
