Senior Level Designer

Level Designers are responsible for creating engaging and immersive gameplay spaces that align with the overall creative vision of a game. They design and build levels from concept through final implementation, integrating gameplay mechanics, narrative elements, and player progression to deliver memorable experiences. Their work supports core development pipelines by building blockouts, scripting encounters, implementing gameplay features, and troubleshooting design issues within proprietary tools. Level Designers collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including art, narrative, engineering, animation, VFX, and audio to ensure cohesive, high-quality environments and player experiences. They regularly playtest and iterate on levels based on internal feedback, adhere to best practices to maintain stability and quality, and research subject matter and industry trends to inform their designs and enhance gameplay flow.

  • An ability to showcase levels, missions, game modes or gameplay created within game engines or through player-facing creation tools.
  • Experience working in Radiant and working with Unreal Engine 4 or 5
  • Expertise in production pipelines and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of level design principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a self-motivated drive to overcome design challenges.
  • A logical thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to write concise, well-written, and compelling design documentation.
  • High level of understanding gameplay mechanics and player psychology to create rewarding experiences
