Principal Release Manager

Release Management plays a central role in coordinating and executing the safe and timely deployment of game content across platforms by managing the end-to-end release process from development through to live environments. This function supports release planning, risk identification, and issue mitigation to ensure that builds meet quality, compliance, and platform requirements. It maintains release pipelines, monitors readiness, manages submission and certification workflows, and facilitates post-release tracking and hotfixes. Release Managers collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Production, Engineering, and external partners to align schedules, resolve build and environment issues, and ensure transparency and compliance throughout the release lifecycle. Their work supports stability, player experience, and operational efficiency through continuous process improvement, documentation, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Extensive experience with build certification and release processes across PC, Console and Mobile platforms
  • Broad knowledge of build, branch, environment, and release processes for Live games
  • Strong knowledge of Unreal Engine development and release workflows
  • Experience working with database technology
  • Expertise with Perforce, JIRA and build submission
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and philosophies
  • Experience driving QA prioritisation and reporting processes tied into the release pipeline
  • Excellent ability to plan and implement an effective branching strategy and process
